  • Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University (1996)
  • Post-masters Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic (1989)
  • Masters degree in Psychological Services/Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania (1988)
  • Professor at Portland State University (2003-present), Montana State University (1997-2003), and San Francisco State University (1996-1997)
